Description

A silver, metal canteen with a silver, metal cup inside of an olive cover with brown leather straps. The straps go around the edges of the cover, through loops, and has a metal clip at the end, for securing the canteen cover to gear. The cover opens at the top with two small flaps, that close with metal push buttons. The canteen has a screw top, that is attached to the canteen with a small metal chain.

Neither the cover nor the canteen have any identifiable dates, however, after an online image search, the style of the canteen and cover most closely resemble a WWI cavalry canteen.
