WILD FLOWERS OF THE WEST / PLANTING DIRECTIONS / This package contains a beautiful and interesting collection of the flora indigenous to the Pacific slope and adjacent states of Western America. The hardy native flowers of our West Coast are easy to grow in the home gardens of California, Oregon, Washington and neighboring states, and the seeds may be sown, throughout this territory, at any time from January until March. First prepare the surface of the ground by spading and raking; pulverizing the soil thoroughly. Then sow the seed broadcast or in rows, preferably in an open sunny location. Cover the seed very lightly, not over 1/8 inch, and press the surface down firmly. Keep the ground moist by frequent spraying with a fine nozzle until the plants are well up. Thereafter water thoroughly once a week in dry weather. To avoid crowding, thin the young plants to stand about 8 inches apart. / COMPLIMENTS OF YOUR RICHFIELD DEALER / LEONARD GANN RICHFIELD SERVICE BRUNDAGE & OLIVE PA 24813 BAKERSFIELD, CALIFORNIA / Packed for season of 1958 by GERMAINS, INC.
