Description

Two horns attached to a wooden stick, resembling a pickaxe. There are four bands of fur along the handle, and a cloth decorative pattern where the horns attach to the handle. All of the decorative elements are attached to the horns or the wood by nails.

Brought from Mrs. Adkins' family home in West Virginia, was in the family for "many years." An antique dealer said it belonged to a medicine man's paraphernalia (possibly from ritual of "Red Man's" lodge?)
