A large, circular piece of sheet metal, with letters cut out around the edges and in the center, creating a stencil. There is a handle attached to the upper left side of the stencil, with a hole through the center of the handle.

Date determination was made because while the Novitiate Winery was in operation starting in 1888, based on comparing the style of stencil to similar stencils found online, and when the winery was most likely to market its wine as "altar wine," the stencil is most likely from the Prohibition era.
