Description

Brightly colored paper bound book about the history of Calico, California. The town used to be a silver mining town, before being abandoned and subsequently purchased by Knott's Berry Farm for restoration. Included are two inserted pages, a mailable folded brochure postcard for Calico, and a hand-drawn map of the area. It is unclear if the map was originally included with the book. The cover has a colored photograph of the ghost town, with illustrated miners at the bottom, and the title text in bold red font. The back is pink, with a color photograph of a mural, labelled as ""Saturday Night in Calico, 1881" from the mural by Paul V. Klieben, Housed in the Calico Saloon at Knott's Berry Farm - Buena Park, Calif."
