Description

Full mount taxidermied specimen of a Bobcat (Lynx rufus). The specimen's coat is tan with black spots on the lower part of the body and legs. The underside is white with black spots on the legs. The ears are black and the face has several black stripes throughout. The specimen is standing on all fours with the hind right leg lifted slightly off the base. The head is turned to its right and has a snarling expression. Subfamily: Felinae Genus: Lynx Species: Lynx rufus

The historical range of the bobcat was from southern Canada, throughout the United States, and as far south as the Mexican state of Oaxaca, and it still persists across much of this area.
