Note

Dear Barrie and Carol I must apologise if I have precipitated you into leaving Cathedral Oaks, but on the other hand perhaps it is a good thing after all if it means you will at last have your own home, and I can well imagine with what satisfaction you will be viewing this prospect. It is I who am infinitely grateful to you for all you have done at Cathedral Oaks- you have looked after the property beautifully, and worked hard to improve it, and while we are sad to lose you, it is of the greatest solace to me to think that you will not be too far away and that you have generously offered to keep an eye on the property. It is good to know that Carl has such a close relationship with the Duncans, please send him our love when you next visit with him. With most affectionate good wishes, Yours, {inscription} Yehudi Menuhin
