Description

Full mount taxidermied specimen of a Hudsonian whimbrel (Numenius hudsonicus). The specimen is standing on a wooden block with its wings closed and its head tilted to its left. The main body of the feathers are brown with dark markings. The lower edge of the wings are dark brown. The underside is a lighter brown with dark markings. The beak is long, slender, and curved downward. Family: Scolopacidae Genus: Numenius Species: Numenius hudsonicus
