Description

A decorative, commemorative plate depicting the Donner Expedition in 1846. The center of the plate depicts a scene with a covered wagon in the center, and many other covered wagons, horses, and people in the background. In the foreground, an Indigenous person is pointing two people on horses towards the right. Around the rim of the plate are various embossed depictions of California history, including a ship, cacti, missionaries, covered wagons, and trains.
