Description

Full mount taxidermied specimen of a Western Grebe (Aechmophorus occidentalis). The specimen is sitting its wings closed and feet to the sides. The neck and head are upright and facing straight forward. The top of the head, back of the neck, and the back is black to gray in color. The underside of the neck and belly are a white pattern. The feet are black and green and are lobed. The beak is long and is yellow and black. Family: Podicipedidae Genus: Aechmophorus Species: Aechmophorus occidentalis
