Description

In 1900, the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railroad came through Pinole south of the Southern Pacific and built a red train depot at the northeast corner of Charles Street. It burned down in 1944. The next Santa Fe depot, built in 1945, was demolished by the railroad in 1998.
