Pinole Bakery (Woy family)Description
The Pinole Bakery was sold to the T.W. Woys by J.B. Downer, brother of E.M. Downer Sr. Newcomers here from Pennsylvania, the Woys expanded into the grocery business in 1906 and had the first auto delivery. Their home (left) is on the southwest corner of San Pablo and Valley avenues, next to the store. The house still stands.
