Description

Carlos Francis Rollino and his wife, Encharita Rollino, came from Italy and arrived in Pinole in 1917. The front of their house, on a corner of First Street (now Appian Way) and San Pablo Avenue, was an Italian grocery store. Carlos worked at Hercules Powder Company until he retired. Carlos and Encharita were the grandparents of Bill Miller. The house was torn down when Appian Way was converted from a two-lane road to a four-lane road in the early 1960s.
