Joe Lunghi and his wife, Maria, stand in front of their restaurant, Joe Lunghi Trovatore Cafe. The Pump House occupies this site today on the southwest corner of Tennent and San Pablo avenues. Patrons could dine in private booths that had curtains for privacy. Joe’s son, Frank, moved the cafe across the street when he bought the Antlers Tavern.
