Ruins of Pinole Fire 6:5:1908 (Vincent)Description
Much of the all-wooden City of Pinole was destroyed in a devastating fire on June 5, 1908. Forester’s Hall is smoldering in the foreground. Forester’s Hall was the social center of Pinole, with lodge meetings, dances, and stage plays. The fire consumed nearly the entire town. The city’s fire service then consisted of a hose cart pulled by volunteers.Inscription/Signature/Marks
