From George Vincent: This is a photo of the first development in the valley called Pinole Estates, circa 1956. The model homes in the picture are of that time when I passed on the bus from DeAnza and recall kids getting off to their new homes. The photo aligns north east and the car in the foreground looks 1956. This development was on the east side of Pinole Valley Road and the street was called Estates Avenue after the new development which began in the mid 1950s.Copyright
