The Will Gerrish Butcher Shop (Square Deal Garage)
Tom Smith and Ted Hemleb are the full names of the butcher business partners who took over Gerrish's building. When Smith and Hemleb moved across San Pablo Avenue to a new shop next to the Shoemaker's Shop, this became the main Pinole Butcher Shop from the 1940s and 1950s. In the 1950s, it was run by Frank Fertado of Pinole and Augie DeSilva. DeSilva founded the Pinole Food Center on Tennent Avenue in the 1960s and was the main butcher there.Made/Created
