This photo was provided by the National Button Bulletin, which published an article about an archeological dig of the adobe site from 1974-78 that unearthed 30,000 artifacts, including a hundred of buttons made of metal, fabric, cellulose acetate, composition, black glass, shell, porcelain and bone.
