Description

A pair of four-color silkscreen prints on off-white linen depicting weathervanes in the form of Native American warriors, one running holding a bow, one standing holding a hatchet and a rifle. The compositions are finished with printed borders. This pair of prints appears in the c.1960 brochure “Country Prints in Frames Designed by Robert Darr Wert”, p.7, and; see images. These prints are listed in the January 1960 Country Prints price list, and appear in the c.1960 brochure “Country Prints in Frames Designed by Robert Darr Wert”. Prints were produced in a choice of antique birch or flat black frames. This pair was also distributed by the American Picture Publishing Company of New York City; see images.
