A four-color silkscreen print on off-white linen depicting five radiant suns and a rooster weathervane greeting the new day. Playful text enlivens the composition: forecasts of “Fair & Warm”, and “Sunny & Mild”, along with the expression, “Have a Good Day”.
This print is from Country Prints’ Motif Gourmet collection, a group of decidedly design-forward products that veer away from Wert’s usual Americana themes. This print was available in orange or turquoise colorways; this example is in turquoise. A matching apron, bottle cover, coffee can covers, toaster cover, and oven mitt were also produced; see images.
