Description

A pair of silkscreen prints on linen depicting: Bread print: Breads and baking tools illustrating a line from the Lord’s Prayer, “Give us this day our daily bread”. Peace print: Musical instruments, farm tools, and cooking implements illustrating the words, “Peace, Plenty and Independence”. This pair of prints appears in the c.1960 brochure “Country Prints in Frames Designed by Robert Darr Wert”; see images. The single print shown in color is a Country Prints production sample retained as a print record. These prints were also produced as Gift Greetings, Country Prints’ linen of unmounted prints in cardstock note folders with envelopes for mailing or gift giving; see “Gift Greetings” entries.
