Description

The Most Excellent Order of the British Empire, Commander Grade, to Colonel John Edward Leckie. Gold cross patnonce (four arms, each with three points) with gold king's crown at top point. Arms enamelled light blue. In centre a gold field with Britannia surrounded by red enamelled circle and gold title "For God and the Empire" Reverse has crown and Royal Cypher with rope surround. Suspender a fixed ring with loose ring to ribbon, purple, scarlet, purple, 3.7 x 20 cm. Depicted in the top row on the right.
