Description

1918 CEF Staff Officer's Service Dress Cap. Light khaki fineweave barathea wool, with twill cotton cover. Machine stitched construction. Soft wool peak, red felt cap band. Circular crown reinforced by a wire stiffener. Adjustable brown leather chinstrap secured on either side by brass "General Officers" buttons (1.6cm diameter). Cap badge is Colonel's insignia - bullion wire lion and edwardian crown embroidered over the red felt cap band. Handwritten at the back of the cap beneath the red band is "JBW J.B.Wilson."
