1939-1950's Royal Canadian Navy Lieutenant-Commander's service dress jacket made of black twill wool. It is double breasted with eight brass Royal Canadian Navy buttons (2.5 cm) on the front. There are no shoulder epaulettes. Five ribbons are on the front left breast. One jetted pocket over the left breast. Two slash pockets, one on either side of the jacket, are on the hips. On the hem of each sleeve is three bands of gold lace sewn to the sleeve. The inside is lined with a fine twill made of black silk, polyester, or rayon. The sleeves are lined with the same material, but in beige. Inside of the front right is a hidden patch pocket. On the left of the inside jacket, is a black plastic button (2 cm).Context
