Description

1917 - 1918 2nd pattern painted Brodie helmet with Fort Garry Horse maple leaf badge brazed or pinned to front.Circular basin shape manganese steel. Green/brown khaki paint, 60% of finish remains. Small dents on right and top of helmet. Copper badge in the shape of a maple leaf with the inscription Fort Gary Horse and a picture of a fort on the forehead of the helmet. Black oilskin liner filled with small cracks and wear on the edges. Part of the netting of the liner ripped. Left part of the chinstrap missing.
