Sewn to band is Royal Air Force officer's cap badge (Red velvet/gilt metal King's crown atop gilt metal eagle, atop gold wire laurel leaves), peak of khaki wool covered leather (underside is dull green leather), brown leather chinstrap 1.3 cms. wide x 26 cms. long, two browned copper Royal Flying Corps buttons 1.3 cms. diameter.
