Page from unknown Warrensville Township scrapbook with three black-and-white photographs and a handwritten caption: "North East corner of Lee and Shaker. Bldg. used as allotment office, school and City Hall — for Shaker Heights." The three photographs are individually numbered 420.18 (Van Sweringen sales office/school looking northwest), 420.19 (front yard of sales office/school looking southwest), and 420.20 (5th and 6th grades at Shaker Heights school, a.k.a. Boulevard School). The house at 16350 Shaker Boulevard /2812 Lee Road is visible in the background of 420.19.

In 1912, when the Village of Shaker Heights had less than 200 inhabitants, classes were taught in the Van Sweringen real estate office at Lee Road and Shaker Boulevard. Two years later, in 1914, Boulevard School was opened. The Town Hall moved in the office when the Shaker Heights Public School System moved out.Acquisition
