Black-and-white photograph showing an east view of the hemlock grove along present-day North Park Boulevard. Handwritten note on verso reads: "MacLean identifies this as an east view of the hemlock grove. Possibly North Park Blvd." Print was possibly made from a glass plate negative based on the blurred edges. Photo is identical to Plate 57 in Louis Baus' Shakers & Kirtland.
