Plate 32 from from Shakers & Kirtland by Louis Baus showing a southeast view of the Center Family hospital along Lee Road. Baus description: "Just southwest of the family house stood the Nursery, or hospital, where the sick were given the kindest attention. Owing to their simple method of living, there was very little sickness, and the nursery was but little used; but such a place when needed, was of the utmost convenience. The southeast view is shown in photo."
