Black-and-white photograph depicting the Gillette Tavern/Kubach General Store, built c.1860s-1880, at the corner of Kinsman (now Chagrin) and Lee. Land and tavern were sold to Fred Kubach in 1901, and Fred and his wife Amelia operated a tavern/general store through the mid-1920s. Fred and Amelia raised two daughters, Prisca/Presca Kubach Ellicott and Louisa/Louise Kubach Fieg.
Handwritten note on the back of the photo identifies the people as (left to right): Prisca's uncle, Fred Kubach (Prisca's father), Louisa Kubach (Prisca's sister), Amelia Kubach (Prisca's mother), Prisca Kubach, and the town baker.
