Baus description: "At the extreme northwest corner of the colony near Doan Brook the quarry furnished stone for the community. All foundations, posts, tombstones, walks, dams and the the [sic] grist mill nearby were made from the stone of these quarries. The present boulevard system has taken in all this territory.
