Description

Woodburning iron stove with a semi-circle shelf at front, designed and cast by the Church Family at Mt. Lebanon. These heavy, wood burning stoves can be found in almost every room in a Shaker community. Concerned with the air quality in their buildings, the Shakers crafted tall chimneys which would pipe the smoke and release it outside.
