Description

Pair of glazed ceramic plates measuring 6" X 6" with scalloped corners and recessed centers. Plates are light tan in color and have a gold trim around the top edges. On the left side of the center recess are two painted tulips in green, red, and blue. On the back center of each plate is stamped with gold text reading: "Compliments of The Capitol Theatre, So. River, N.J. Every lady can secure a set of this beautiful ware by attending The Capitol Theatre regularly every Wednesday or Thursday. Starting March 30th or 31st". On one plate the text is stamped so that it is upright when the painted flowers are on the left side on the front of the plate but on the second plate the text is upright when the flowers are along the bottom of the plate. Plates are in excellent condition with wear throughout the glaze and minor fading on gold text and edge with no cracks, chips, or breakage.
