Black and White. Hotel Alki around 1895, located at 63rd S.W. and Alki. Large group of people standing in front of the building. Notes on back "Hotel Alki at what is now 63rd S.W. & Alki about 1895. Built by my father & Mother. My father is in the cigar store at right, with a mustache and straw hat. My brother Leonard Smith is in cigar stand at left , (about 12 years old) my uncle Edward Hanson is the one with hands on knees, a derby hat and grey suit. Marked X I was about 5 years old sitting in middle of picture (marked "X") Man at extreme right, Walter Rodgers. Haus Martin Smith, 6/10/64"
