Color. Disabled American Veterans Hall on Delridge Way SW. Residents also raised money, bought land, and built the Youngstown Improvement Club as a social gathering place (this became the DAV hall)Community empowerment In 1914, the Youngstown Improvement Club (YIC) was formed to enable residents to gain control over the physical and social future of the community. The YIC built a meeting and activity center - currently occupied by the Disabled American Veterans Association.
