Photo taped to page which reads "In February 1945, the High Point public housing development in West Seattle had been opened for four years. Operated by the Seattle Housing Authority, it provided housing for war-time defense workers during World War II, and then was home to hundreds of returning soldiers and sailors. This is one of 120 photographs tracing the 50-year history of public housing in Seattle included in a historical photograph exhibit at the Pacific Arts Center May 5-11, 1989."
