scan of white-border era postcard depicting "boardwalk at Alki, Seattle" published by C.P. Johnson, Seattle, #3033. The bandstand and bath house are visible on the boardwalk. Swimming platforms are seen in the water to the left of the bandstand. People sit on benches watching the water and several young people in swimsuits in the sand and water. Other people walk on boardwalk, the dress and fashion seems to be late 1920s and/or early 1930s. One woman seated on bench holds an umbrella with and Asian design on it. There are one or two wagons visible on the edge of the boardwalk selling snacks or treats. The stamp box on back has 1-cent postcard rate and 2-cent for foreign destinations.Collection
