Doc Maynard Letter Sample dated February 26, 1854 Letter from David S. Maynard, from Seattle, to son (Henry Maynard). Maynard mentions a sprain and knee joint pain. Maynard further references the Pacific Railroad terminus decision and the territorial roads that will end in Seattle. He mentions that farming, business and lumber are busy. He urges son (and daughter Frances) to make way to Seattle, and that their “mother” (2nd wife) is making preparations for a home for them.
