Hollenberg (Cottonwood) Pony Express Station OCTA Convention Tour Photos, August 12, 1988. 1988 OCTA annual convention held in St. Joseph, MO by Gateway Chapter. Bus Tour to Hollenberg Station included women of the area dressed in 1860 garb and Pony Express Association members performing a "Mochila Exchange" for tour members. 4 color snapshots

Home Station for Pony Express, (Riders slept upstairs). & Stage Station also. Had barn nearby to house 100 hd. of horses. Emigrants camped in flats near. Had store, P.O., blacksmith, stock feed & stock to trade to emigrants. Family lived in section of house to R. Store & P.O. in part nearest camera."
