Apple Blossom Parade Roller Rink Float Snapshot, c. 1950. b/w. Photo of parade float with giant roller skate and girls in skating skirts on roller skates holding onto maypole. "Pony Express Roller Rink" on side of float. The float is headed south on 8th Street in front of Hirsch's Dept Store, Rix & Co, and Cook's. Crowd on walk in front of these stores.
Pony Express Roller Rink was located just west of the Pony Express Stables, which building later housed the Pony Express Bowling Lanes. The building was razed upon the expansion of the Pony Express stables into the Pony Express National Memorial Museum, in 1990s.
