Stillman, Arch: Military Discharge Papers, U.S. Army, 1919. Honorable Discharge from the United States Army. Arch Stillman was the son of Amos Stillman, who was born into slavery. The donor, Gary Wilkerson, is the g-grandnephew of Arch Stillman. The 805th was all all black infantry during World War I. "This is to certify that Arch Stilmman (#) Pvt, unassd, has assd Co. K, 805th, Pioneer Inf. The United States Army, as a Testimonial of Honest and Faithful Service, is hereby Honorably Discharged from the military service of the United States by reason of E. T. S(?) under prov par 16 W.D. Circ 252, 1919, Said Arch Stillman was born in Wartina (Wathena) in the State of Kansas. When enlisted he was 28 years of age and by occupation a Hod Carrier. He had Brown eyes, Black hair, Colored complexion, and was 5 feet 11 inches in height. Given under my hand at Camp Sherman, Ohio this 7 day of June, one thousand nine hundred and nineteen.
