This is a Home and School Journal published by Sylvester Grogg of St. Joseph, Missouri. The cost is 75 cents a year. The journal is basically a product of those in the St. Joseph Public School District. The journal has stories on astronomy and other school subjects.
The first article is in Memoriam of Edward Bayly Neely. He was superintendent of the public school system of the city.
At a Buchanan County Teachers' Association May 7, 1904 the study was on self-improvement of the teacher.
On page 15 there is a paper cutting, by a second grade pupil from Neely School.
On page 17 J. D. Elliff gives information to the boys and girls of St. Joseph on how to make and plant a flower bed..
Prof. A. T. Heibel, Physical Director, St. Joseph Public schools wrote an article on Exercises in Calisthenics.
Miss Hal R. Rogers, Supervisor of Music, St. Joseph Public Schools has an article on music. The music for The Woodpecker is included.
