93.39.9A Riley, John C. American Bottlers of Carbonated Beverages Letter to Kenneth Miller. Mr. Riley states in the letter that he has never been able to obtain any authentic information regarding the companies in existence as far back as 1855. Census figures do show that there were a substantial number because more than a million cases were produced in 1849. He stated there is no way that he could get the names of the company who provided the census figures. He stated that Chesterman Company, Sioux City, Iowa and Jacob Ries Bottling Works, Inc. Shakopee Minnesota. Dated December 29, 1949.
