Hodges, M. S. Letter To Brother and Sister and Letter On Same Paper To S. Wildbahn & Ransome Butler From E. P. Duncan. In the letter to brother and sister from Mr. Hodges, he tells them he and Mr. Butler took a load of flour to Jefferson City to exchange for sugar and molasses. Mr. Duncan's last letter is on the same page as Mr. Hodges. The ink is made of Shamake berries. Dated September 12, 1864 In the letter from Duncan he tells them that his friend advises him not to undertake to go with the army for it might be more than he could stand in his feeble condition. Dated August 17, 1864.
