Journal of a Mountain Man. Journals of James Clyman's experiences on the plains and in the mountains during the heyday of American fur trade. He gave advice to the Donner Party which was tragically ignored. He was precise and thorough in his observations. He was a member of the Jedediah Smith first brigade which discovered South Pass and opened in the mountain west to the beaver hunters. 295/Softbound/Map.
