Photo of a painting by Marysville, Kansas resident, David Vernon Manrose of a rider leaving the the Marysville Pony Express Station at a gallop. Caption: "Above is shown a painting of the old Pony Express station at Marysville, Kans., by David Vernon Manrose, done in the third dimension style which Manrose says he originated. The painting will be placed in the city hall at Marysville as a gift to the city from the artist. The scene depicts the departure of a Pony Express rider from the station, with a stock tender leading the rider's former mount to the stables.
