Pony Express Centennial August 10, 1960 postcard with Post Office cancellation from San Francisco. Received at Gothenburg, NE Aug 15, 1960 (on back)
Group of Pony Express First Day Covers 86.9.1-26. Each cover canceled at a town along the trail on the last day the cancellation stamp was in use at that town's post office. Each cover has a 4¢ Pony Express Stamp. Above Stamp is stamped. "1860-Pony Express-1960 Founders, Russell, Majors, and Waddell."
Each cover has logo in orange/blue. Pony rider on galloping horse in blue against orange starburst background, April 3, 1860---April 3, 1960. "Pony Express" above and "Centennial" below.
