Confederate ten dollar bill, September 2nd, 1861. Front: Upper left corner reads "RECEIVABLE IN PAYMENT OF ALL DUES EXCEPT EXPORT DUES". Next to that is a picture of two women holding an urn. Below them reads "Fundable in Confederate States Stock bearing Eight per Cent Interest". Main writing reads "Six Months after the Ratification of a Treaty of peace between the Confederate States and the United States", "THE CONFEDERATE STATES OF AMERICA Will Pay TEN DOLLARS to bearer", "Richmond, Va September 2nd, 1861".
