The story, Fanny, is taken from The Living History Drama of the Oregon Trail by Joyce Badgley Hunsaker. "Fanny" is a composite drawn from Oregon Trail diaries, journals, letters, and other primary source materials from the 1840-1875 era. Fanny tells the story of her husband's decision to sell everything and go to Oregon, and of their journey from St. Joseph, Missouri. Illustrations by Tom Novak are excellent.
