Entry/Object ID

SHH 2001.262

Description

Stereographic print developed from gelatin dry plate glass negative. Image appears to be of a Goodyear display. Foreground is smooth bare floor, possibly cement. Front end of motorcycle or bicycle visible (possibly from SHH 2001.261R) at left. Behind this hang a row of tires and several sheets of material. Large sign above reads, "GOOD [Goodyear winged foot logo] YEAR / AKRON / AERONAUTIC MATERIALS" (possibly same sign at right in SHH 2001.261R). Propeller with bow tied in the middle above sign. Larger sign behind this, illegible because view is obstructed, possibly reads, "AERO DIVSION / GOODYEAR / AERONAUTIC MATERIALS". Column is center of image, decorated with light and dark stripes. On right side of image hangs a large zeppelin model (possibly same as SHH 2001.261R). Behind this is a stack of what appears to be small boxes, above which hang a row of American flag banners. High ceiling with rafters visible above everything else in image. Series of Goodyear display prints.
